Mindfulness for children workshop

NEW DATE: 20th of October

3.30pm-4.30pm [onsite]

Mindfulness for children offers child friendly self-care tools that can help children to clear their mind and understand difficult thoughts and feelings. By making mindfulness a part of their lives at a young age, children will be better equipped to navigate challenges with greater wisdom, clarity, and compassion. A regular practice of creative mindfulness is a great way to keep children learning & growing.
These workshops are filled with enriching activities and well-being tips giving children the best opportunities to use their natural skills with mindfulness, to develop calm, focus and confidence.
Each Saturday we meet, we will cover a new theme to promote positive mental health in fun, creative & imaginative ways for children through arts & crafts projects, music, stories, discussion, breathing techniques/meditation & visualisation. Children will do a themed creative activity each month, a keepsake to bring home with them.
Facilitated by Sonia Millar. Creative Mindfulness Kids Practitioner accredited with the International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance. She hold a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology and is registered with the Teaching Council as a Mindfulness Teacher.
